I think Saturday is Shred Day!

Hello Everyone!
Our goal is to complete the shredder and the injector by the first week of September. This is entirely possible as long as we correctly time our clutch with our gas (anyone drive a manual??). The reason this is important is because I want our build pace to slow down at a reasonable rate during the school year. With the shredder and the injector, we can be outputting and developing different metal molds for plastic products while working on the other machines. No plastic production can take place until at least two machines are built. Once that is done, a lot of tasks will free up and we can continue at a more relaxed pace.
Machine Shop Update
Shredder
The parts for the shredder box have been welded! I believe we’ll get some teeth spinning on Saturday.
The frame welding will be done by the school’s machine shop next week.
Advocacy Update (in order of dependencies)
a. If interested, poster drafts are in the drive!
b. Our logo will be drawn by Jesse!
c. We should begin to see binders of our Solidwork prints! :)
Still seeking managers
We are looking for managers for two machines: the Extruder (note: very similar to the injector, so many plans and items will be shared between the two) and the Compression.
If you are interested in the above, or would like more responsibility in other sectors, contact me. Likewise, if you’ve taken on too much and would like help or to reduce your load, contact me.
Cheers,
